Recovery
Centers of Arkansas began as an outgrowth of the first Alcoholics Anonymous
Chapter in Arkansas and incorporated in the 1970s as a not-for-profit
substance abuse treatment facility. It is the mission of Recovery Centers of
Arkansas to enable individuals to live free from the abuse of alcohol and/or
drugs by providing treatment programming and other professional services within
an atmosphere of dignity and respect. Recovery Centers of Arkansas is proud
of its diverse programming. Specialized services are available to adolescents,
those dually diagnosed with a mental illness and a substance abuse disorder
and to those with a primary drug of choice of methamphetamine. The organization
is licensed by the Arkansas Department of Health, Bureau of Alcohol and Drug
Abuse Prevention and is a United Way agency.
